Many of us are runners,
We've been training our whole lives, How to outcompete ourselves Until the finish line arrives. Our mind is making progress, Gaining distance from our past, And our bod's setting records, While our Futures comes in last. Maybe each life is just a race A challenge we can't ignore, Running away from past regrets, Always chasing something more. Maybe its never ending And our race just travels on, With distance we find Comfort, But the struggles never gone. Many of us runners, We've been training to seek and strive For a way out of the world By which our liveliness can thrive. But many of us don't realize That the only way to win, Is to stop and look inside to see The only way out is in. - Olivia Mobarakai
